Logo Commission

In Fall 2022, I was asked to make a logo for EDU-STEM, a network for undergraduate educators teaching STEM at universities across the U.S. The network strives to increase equity and diversity in STEM fields, which is what inspired this design.

Initially, I was given no description or thoughts on what the design should look like, and as a result, my first design, which focused on learning and education, received a lukewarm reception. My feedback was simply "equity and diversity." However, I was able to start over, and through some more trial and error, ultimately deliver a design that my commissioner loved.
